Well, the Klimt exhibit was worth the plane fare !
Immersion art it is called, and what it is is images and colors and sound engulfing you; surrounding you with floor to ceiling pictures projected on walls, fixed and freestanding, to the accompaniment of music ranging from Strauss and Chopin to Wagner and Mahler.
Paris, always on the cutting edge (though MOMA might argue …), plays host to this amazing show which actually reminds me of the more amateur 60s psychedelic light shows. Hallucinogenic it almost is … even without the weed that is legal in Vermont but not yet in Paris. (There is however, a very busy hookah sidewalk cafe just across the street, though I haven’t visited it …)
Better than trying to describe in words the Klimt exhibit is to let the pictures speak …
